Ceremony and reception: Carlton Oaks Golf Club, San Diego
Julie here! I'm hijacking Dad's blog because he's tied up right now but I wanted to add some commentary to these fantastic images that he took of Melissa and Charles' wedding. As is usually the case when the two of us photograph together, Dad spent the morning with the groom and his groomsmen while I photographed the bride and her attendants. Here is a look at what the guys were up to on this eventful morning in downtown San Diego.

I couldn't select just one downtown group shot of these guys just because there were too many great ones.
Just look at these guys! I can't think of a more fun group of people.
Lounging
Then a stop at Funky Garcia's in downtown San Diego. In the bachelor party theme, the bar tender provided a little entertainment for the boys.
After the festivities, the guys made their way to Carlton Oaks, the ceremony and reception site.
After the ceremony, the bridesmaids (and yes, all six are bridesmaids) took a stroll with their parasols along the lake.
A little romance out on the course
And the reception begins. I think Charles is ready...
Melissa and Charles did the first dances a little differently than we usually see them done. And we really liked it. So, first off, they didn't dance until after dinner, which was great because everyone was hungry. Then when the time came, they started with the father/daughter and mother/son dances, then the father of the bride and mother of the groom went back out onto the dance floor and presented the couple for their first dance together. It was a really nice touch!
Their first dance as husband and wife.
A sparkler exit was a beautiful way to end the evening.
